Your library, your keys
Encrypted before upload.
Save contents, slot names, checkpoint labels, device names, game metadata, and the library index are encrypted in the desktop app.
- AES-256-GCM authenticates each encrypted object. Separate derived keys protect object identifiers and encryption.
- Object names are keyed opaque identifiers. Game names and filenames do not become cloud object paths.
- The decryption key stays on paired devices. The service receives an access-token verifier, never the encryption key.
- Cloudflare also encrypts R2 storage at rest. This is an additional layer beneath client-side encryption.
- Network metadata, including IP addresses, request times, encrypted object sizes and access events, remains visible to the hosting provider.
- Local game files and local history are stored normally on your computer. Pairing credentials use Windows or macOS operating-system encryption.
- There is no automatic deletion of save history. Disconnecting a device stops its sync; rotating the shared pairing credentials is needed to revoke a previously copied code.
